Chiropractic Techniques
Chiropractic is the science of locating misalignments in the spine or minor changes to posture, which can interfere with the passage of nerve impulses from the brain to the body. These areas of spinal dysfunction are known as Vertebral Subluxations.
Using different techniques, chiropractors gently apply treatment to the spine to correct subluxations and return the flow of the nervous system towards optimum health.
Most chiropractors are trained and proficient in more than one technique and will generally use a number of techniques in their clinic, which they customise to each patient according to that patient's needs.
If you have a preference for a certain technique - or dislike certain other techniques - you should discuss this with your chiropractor. She or he will be extremely grateful that you did and will explain to you their own technique preferences and together work out the best way forward for your treatment.
If you have had great success with a particular chiropractic technique and need to find a chiropractor working within that same modality, please do not hesitate to contact us.
The Queensland Branch Office retains a list of chiropractors according to the techniques they practice.
Below is a list of commonly used techniques. If you are interested in getting further information about a particular technique you can “Google” the technique to find out more about it.
