CAAQLD Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday 27 August 2011 at 3:00pm at the Sofitel Brisbane Central, 249 Turbot Street, Brisbane.

National Chiropractic Care Week

This year National Chiropractic Care Week (NCCW) will be held 23rd to 29th May 2011.  Be sure to block this out in your calendar and keepyour eyes peeled for further information.  The theme this yeasr is "Posure and Mobility".  Please refer to the CAA National website www.chiropractors.asn.au for further information.

Sunshine Coast Regional Trip

The Sunshine Coast chiropractors got together for an informative x-ray seminar on Saturday the 17th July sponsored by CAAQLD.   27 chiropractors attended the event which featured Kelly Luthje, radiographer who spoke on radiation safety and compliancing and Dr Hamish Dalziel, radiologist who presented on a variety of topics from plain film x-ray through to CT and MRI.   The focus subsequently moved to a local watering hole, the Kawana Pub to sample some nibbles and beverages kindly provided by the CAAQLD.  The next get together of the Sunshine Coast chiropractors will be the Christmas event - venue and date to be advised.

Toowoomba Regional Trip

Thank you to CAAQ and QLD X-ray for sponsoring a breakfast gathering for the Toowoomba Chiropractors.  We had a turnout of 17 people from different offices and all keen to catch up.  Samantha West from QLD X-ray gave a brief information session on the services they provide in X-ray and MRI for the local area.  Dr Tracy Kennedy-Shanks (CAAN Qld representative) gave a brief update on the new CBA and the Guidelines that have come into effect as at 1st July.  As a courtesy we invited the local non CAAQ members to introduce them to some of the benefits of CAAQ membership and to show them what a good bunch of people we are :).  We hope to continue the trend and meet again later in the year.

Brisbane Regional Trip

On the 17^th April CAAQLD members gathered at the Urban Hotel Brisbane to enjoy the presentation that was made by Dr Greg Slater and Queensland X-Ray (QXR). Attendees were also given a brief presentation from sponsors Guild Insurance. The afternoon was informative and social.

Cairns Regional Trip

The 2009 / 2010 the CAAQLD Executive Committee kicked off its Regional Trips at Cairns on 23^rd November 2009. 

CAAQLD Treasurer, Dr Craig Matthews, journeyed up to the beautiful Cairns and met with some of CAAQLD’s members of that region.  Sponsor “The Guild Group” also sent representatives who all enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast at the North Food and Wine Restaurant at the Shangri-la Hotel on beautiful Marlin Marina.
